Mens Necklaces

Mens Necklaces Review

Hundreds of years ago it was quite common mens bracelets necklaces. It wasn't a fashion statement; it was a status statement; as was most male jewellery worn at that time. It wasn't until the recent era that jewellery became associated with fashion and therefore for a man to be concerned with fashion made him less then masculine. The times are changing once again however and more and more men are going back to wearing necklaces even if it is a fashion statement because nowadays it is OK for a man to be in touch with his stylish side.

Men Necklaces
Often dog tags are worn by men that have been in combat or are in the armed forces; as well they are often worn by ex military men. Dog tags are also now being worn by just about anyone. They even come in various metals and various styles with whatever you want engraved on them. Many people who are not in the military opt to leave them blank and not have anything on them at all.

The boom in necklaces has seen fine jewellers tripping over themselves to satisfy the growth of mens' interest in jewellery. Fine jewellers like Tiffanys have expanded its usual watch and cufflink collections to include a broad range of sporty men's jewellery including mens' necklaces, pendants, rings and bracelets. Tiffanys have also designed a number of simple, masculine mens earrings styles in titanium steel and silver.

Whatever the reason men's necklaces are still worn by soldiers to identify them. In fact 'dog tags' as they are known are even made as fashion items in precious metals. The distinguishing features of modern men's necklaces as opposed to womens' necklaces are:
  • The thickness of the chain
  • The material is very often leather or beads
  • The pendant is chunkier
Today all types of men are wearing some type of man jewellery. The are wearing rings on every finger. Bikies like the big chunky chain necklaces and wear four or five at a time. Man jewellery is very popular and Sterling Silver Chains seem to be the most popular because of their affordability.

In this present day of technology, men are lucky because they do not have to go into actual stores, which are full of women buyers, to get their necklaces. Most men prefer buying their jewelry in online stores and have their desired piece delivered right into the door of their very own homes. As for the concern that online shops may have a limited selection to it, men could not be any more mistaken since most online stores have extensive collection on the different designs of men's jewellery.
